The base of this piece measures 4 ½” x 10 ¼” and is glass stained with alcohol inks.
I built the fish using metal bits and pieces.I embellished and colorized the fish using paint, embossing powder, micro beads, glitter, crystals and mica flakes.
Thanks again for the ATC (I know, I don't even have it yet and I'm excited). This piece is amazing, and I especially love the steampunk fish you put together. I noticed, or rather recognized, a lot of the individual pieces you used. Do you use new pieces, or vintage, and where do you get them. I like to use old and sometimes rusty stuff and have to search online for them. Do you have any advice on local places I can look. I usually hit a circuit of antique stores every three months but I was wondering if there are suppliers on your side of town I don't know about. I do have a wholesale license, too, so any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing so much of your talent.
This is take my breath away gorgious and those fish...absolutely stunning, beyond stunning! I would love a tutorial on putting something like that together but I fear I just don't have the eye for it.
Once again thanks for sharing your tallent and creativity with the world!
Absolutely amazing! I would love to have watched you make this! Just gorgeous. You are so, so talented! Congratulations to all the winners! And thank you for the chance. I'm going to try again next month! I would love to own a piece of your artwork! Blessings, Sonya
I never thought this could happen, but you have surpassed yourself with this one. The imagination to create the fish is mind blowing. I bow to you girl. Hugs Joanne xx
Laura, you should submit your art to the Galleries. It's so beautiful and imaginative. But then, maybe they're not up to your standards! This piece is so lovely and unique. Thanks for the wonderful photos. Angie
