Voyages Extraordinaires

After I created the steampunk inspired blog header I decided I also wanted to create a mixed media art piece along the same lines.  The wings on the train are made of vellum.  The image of the boy is from Land of Nod Studios.  I’ve just love him and I’ve used him in other pieces.  I digitally added the glasses.  The hat, wings and gauge are constructed separately.  The clock is made of all kinds of metal and paper bits and pieces.

  13. Hi Laura Sweetie...
Oh my gosh, what a gorgeous creation. You absolutely stun me with your artistic talents. I am always so amazed. I wish I could pick your brain for 5 minutes, just to see how those clogs work inside.
I love the little boy, his glasses are the perfect touch. That little clock on his hat is priceless. And I simply adore that checkered floor in the background. So many beautiful pieces you have incorporated in this work of art. I love it. Thank you so much for sharing with me.

I love, LOVE your banner. How beautiful and peaceful it is. I love all the flying contraptions and the birds, in that they fly as well. So creative.
