Fashions Meilleur Postcard

This is a postcard sized piece designed for Alpha Stamps.  I really enjoyed making the little outfits for the dress forms out of ribbons, fibers, leaves and flowers.
In the side photo you can see the dimension of the little resin birds. The teardrop beads under the clock where clear.  By painting them with alcohol ink I could match them to the paper.
Products Used In This Project:
Mixed Faceted Teardrops – Crystal AB (Painted with Alcohol Ink)
Stitched Leaf Ribbon – Moss Green

HOLLY M - WINNER OF THE BEJEWELED COLLAGE SHEET I NEED YOU TO EMAIL ME AS I DON'T HAVE AN EMAIL ADDRESS FOR YOU SO I CAN SEND YOU THE COLLAGE SHEET. YOU CAN EMAIL USING THE EMAIL BUTTON ON THE RIGHT HAND COLUMN OF THE BLOG. THANKS!

Second Beach Postcard

Here is the second 4 ¼ z 5 ½” postcard I designed for Alpha Stamps. And like the first I will be swapping it in the “Wish You Were Here” beach postcard swap.
I started by tearing and curling various pattern papers.  After gluing the papers to the postcard I inked the edges and using the same ink I added color to the patterned papers.  The embellishments are a combination of seashells, beads, beaded trim and images of shells and jewelry.
On the back of the postcard I stamped it with bars of music.  Next, I added a mermaid cut from the “On the Boardwalk Collection” papers.  I embellished the card with more images of shells and jewelry, a piece of cheesecloth (inked) and a brass anchor.

Beach Postcard – Designed for Alpha Stamps

I designed this 4 ¼ z 5 ½” postcard for Alpha Stamps.  Alpha Stamps carries blank postcards in packs of 25
I started by covering the postcard with various patterned paper and then inked the edges.  Next, I added beach stickers and posters and then stamped “Revel in the Sunshine” and “Ocean”.  To add more dimension I added cording to the lifesaver behind the woman.  The image of the woman is from Alpha Stamps Beach Umbrellas collage sheet.  Lastly I add images of coral.  For dimension and sparkle I added glitter, mica flakes, microbeads and beads.
Back of the Postcard

The umbrellas on the back of the postcard are paper drink umbrellas.

Springtime in Versailles Postcard

I’ve been working on a 4 x6 postcard for a swap in the Marie Antoinette Mail Art Group.  The theme is “Spring” so my piece is titled “Springtime in Versailles.  The plaque on the gate is the one I made in the tutorial "How to Make Your Own Molds & Working with Paper Clay".

I decided I wanted to create a topiary since the French gardens at the time were so formal.  To make the topiary I started by painting chipboard swirls green.
Next, I removed flowers from the stems of dried flowers.
I applied Glossy Accents glue (dries clear) to the painted swirls and dipped them in the dried flowers.
Lastly, I glued the swirls to the postcard and dressed them with jeweled ribbons and a butterfly.
