Welcome

Welcome! Artfully Musing is a blog dedicated to sharing art and the techniques and products used. I'll be showcasing collage, altered and mixed media art as well as miniature. I hope you'll check back often and are inspired. Thanks for visiting! Laura

NOTICE: AlphaStamps has moved to a new website. Unfortunately, I was not aware the product links in my blog posts would not forward to the products on the new website. This has affected both the links in the posts and my Collage Sheet & Digital Image Set Catalogs. I ask for your patience while I work to fix the links. I’ll be fixing the newest posts first working back in time. Lastly, I’ll fix the catalogs. In the meantime, if you encounter broken links and need to finding something you can either use the name of the product to search the new AlphaStamps.net site or you can email me using the “Email Me” button at the top of the left column of the blog and I will do what I can to help. Be My Valentine Shrine Designed for Alpha Stamps

I’ve been very busy over the past month designing all kinds of new goodies for Alpha Stamps.  This shrine is one of the new pieces.  I started with a Masonite shrine kit that requires assembly (very easy).
The Finished shrine measures approx. 2-3/4" wide x 3-3/4" tall (not including decorative header) x 1-3/8" deep. The inside compartment is perfectly sized to fit ATCs and measures just over 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/8" deep. You can fit several inside and peer at them through the window.
I painted and papered the individual pieces before constructing the shrine.  The white designs on the front of the shrine are rub-on transfers.
I added a small paper coverd box on the inside of the shrine to provide a place to glue the hearts, flowers and the image of the boy and girl (so I could pop them up and give the piece more dimension).
Above is the picture of the back and you can see all the stuff I piled on the top.  I hope you can keep a secret, as I left the back blank for a special reason.  Every year I make my husband a Valentine’s card.  This year I'm giving him this shrine. I left the back blank so I can write on it.  Mums the word!
