Vintage Flapper
I have another vintage piece
for you. My inspiration came from the
gorgeous piece of lace that I’ve had for a while and was itching to use. This ATC has a little bit of a Valentine feel
with the heart stickpin; oh yes Valentines is fast approaching.
If you love romance and
Valentine inspired art I have some projects coming up and a new collage sheet.

Bird Waltz
Over the last few months, in addition
to all of the Halloween projects, I’ve been slipping in a few other projects
plus participating in various swaps groups.
Throughout November is catch up time. I'll be posting these items and
the swap returns I’ve received from other artists. This little vintage piece is called “Bird
Waltz”.

A Summers Day
The combination of soft yellows,
browns and creams are one of my favorite combinations. The woman that is the focal point of this ATC
is the same one I used for the Lovely
Moments Canvas Book. I loved so many
of the images I used for the book, I decided to create a series of ATCs using
scaled down versions of the images.

Enchanted
After first making the larger
framed piece I decided to use many of the same elements to create an ATC. The overall size of the framed piece is 7” x
5 1/2 “. I found the frame at Michael’s
Craft Store. It’s a perfect size for
pieces that are a little larger than an ATC or for framing an ATC. To create the framed piece, I started with a
wood birdcage which I aged using Ranger Crackle paint and then Ranger Distress
Ink. I collaged papers behind the
birdcage and then mounted it to the pink and white striped paper in the
background, using several layers of double stick tape so it would popup to the
level of the frame.

Behind the Garden Wall
The inspiration for this piece is the image of the woman. I just love the colors and style of her dress and her lovely face. I’ve had her sitting around my studio for a while as I decided what to do with her. The paper in the far background is from Land of Nod Studios. Deborah offered it up on one of her “Free Photo Fridays”. Next I added an image of an old frame and a piece of architectural detail at the bottom. The metal gate is a wire piece I purchased at Michaels craft store several years ago. It’s one of the many things I’ve bought that I didn’t know how I would use, but knew it would be perfect for something someday. The gold at the bottom is a piece of lace. Lastly there are brass birds and bees, beading, paper flowers, fabric flowers, brass flowers, and images of vintage jewelry. The overall size of the piece is 3” x 6”.
