Welcome! Artfully Musing is a blog dedicated to sharing art and the techniques and products used. I'll be showcasing collage, altered and mixed media art as well as miniature. I hope you'll check back often and are inspired. Thanks for visiting! Laura

NOTICE: AlphaStamps has moved to a new website. Unfortunately, I was not aware the product links in my blog posts would not forward to the products on the new website. This has affected both the links in the posts and my Collage Sheet & Digital Image Set Catalogs. I ask for your patience while I work to fix the links. I’ll be fixing the newest posts first working back in time. Lastly, I’ll fix the catalogs. In the meantime, if you encounter broken links and need to finding something you can either use the name of the product to search the new AlphaStamps.net site or you can email me using the “Email Me” button at the top of the left column of the blog and I will do what I can to help. Beach Postcard – Designed for Alpha Stamps

I designed this 4 ¼ z 5 ½” postcard for Alpha Stamps.  Alpha Stamps carries blank postcards in packs of 25
I started by covering the postcard with various patterned paper and then inked the edges.  Next, I added beach stickers and posters and then stamped “Revel in the Sunshine” and “Ocean”.  To add more dimension I added cording to the lifesaver behind the woman.  The image of the woman is from Alpha Stamps Beach Umbrellas collage sheet.  Lastly I add images of coral.  For dimension and sparkle I added glitter, mica flakes, microbeads and beads.
Back of the Postcard

The umbrellas on the back of the postcard are paper drink umbrellas.
Alpha Stamps Supplies Used:
Alpha Stamps is hosting a “Wish You Were Here” beach postcard swap.  I’ve joined the swap and the card above is one of the postcards I will be swapping.  Click here for information about the swap.

Thanks for the link to where to buy blank postcards in chipboard. I usually do them myself but that is better. :)
