ANTIQUE SHOP STRUCTURE & DECORATIVE ITEMS - VIDEO TUTORIAL - NEW IMAGE SETS

This post is the 3rd and final in a series covering the construction of an antique shop, the outdoor lighting, and the remaining decor and antiques. The inspiration for the Antique Shop came from the Octagon Room box (pictured below), which I have been itching to use.

I wanted a shabby-looking façade and interior, and the Summertime in Blue papers were a perfect fit.

This project also allowed me to use the 5x4 window frame box, which is designed to accommodate lighting, and for this project, I used fairy lights in combination with the coach lights on each side of the door to create a lovely night scene.

Inside, along with all of the other décor and vintage items I covered in the previous two posts, are antique paintings from my new collage sheet, wall clocks, and shelves with cute things such as a vase, dishes, and a tea set.

In addition to the new Miniature Antique Painting collage sheet, I've created three new Mini Picture Frame collage Sheets.

I added beams to the structure, which allowed me to hang chandeliers and act as a ledge for more antiques.

I decided the shop definitely needed a roof. You'll find a template, roof tiles, and capstones free for download further down at the post, and of course, I'll cover its construction in the video tutorial. The ceiling inside the roof is covered with more of the Summertime in Blue papers.

For the walls inside the shop, I use a combination of the Summertime in Blue papers and a plastering technique (which I cover in the tutorial). The plaster technique is a great way to hide the wiring for the lights outside the shop. The batteries and switches are hidden within the sideboard, which is open in the back.

Below you will find a video tutorial, information on the new collage sheets, a detailed supply list, and then a link to a master supply list of all of the products from AlphaStamps for this project. I've also included a free downloadable roof template, collage sheets with the roof tiles and cap shingles, a template for the front door trim and panels, and the shop sign.
