If you are into ATCs like I
am, you are always looking for ways to display your ATCs. Why not create a festive altered tin to show
off your ATCs and add to your holiday display.
Both display tins are made
from a Tea Tin that
is the perfect size for the project.
This is the same in I used for the “Deadly Nightshade” in the Pretty
Potions & Poisons Apothecary tutorials.
Twelve Days of Christmas ATC Tin
I mocked up some ATCs using
the 12 Days of Christmas labels from my collage sheet so you can see how they
would look in the tin.
I first inked the top and
bottom edges of the tin with Gold
Alcohol Ink. I covered the outside
and inside of the tin with decorative paper.
The feet were original silver
and black (and the ones I used in the apothecary event). I painted the silver swirls with Gold Alcohol
Ink. Because the sides of the tin are
curved, when you glue them to the in there is a slight gap at the top between
the foot and the tin. This gave me room
to insert the clear
acrylic bead sprays. I colored some
of the beads with the Gold Alcohol Ink.

The second tin is decorated
in a general Christmas theme. For this
tin in addition to covering the outside and inside with paper I also use some
beautiful jacquard ribbon to trim the bottom and top of the tin. The feet are wooden finials that I painted
black and then accented with Inca
Gold Gilders Paste.
