OVER THE SUMMER SEA - DOUBLE EXPLODING BOX - NEW COLLAGE SHEET

This month’s kit theme at AlphaStamps is Vacation Memories.  For my project, I chose to go with vintage children by the sea theme.  The initial inspiration is from the Seaside Victorian Children collage sheet in this month’s kit (you’ll find a picture of the sheet further down in the post).
For the project, I used the double exploding box pictured below.
Because there were a  lot of surfaces to cover, I create a new collage sheet titled “Over the Summer  Sea”  to complement the Seaside Victorian Children sheet.

This sheet contains vintage images of children playing by the sea, several coordinating seashells, and a framed “Over the Summer Sea” sign.  To purchase the sheet below, click on the image.
I used a ship wheel as a knob and decorated the sides of the lid with various metal, plastic, and clay shells made from a mold.

Inside, you can see all of the pictures, I used the two collage sheets as well as a scene in the center with a paper boat, a pail full of shells made from a thimble, and three children.  I flipped the images of the children and printed them twice so I could glue them back to back so that you could see them from every angle.

THE DETAILS
In addition to my new collage sheet pictured below are the other sheets I used for the project.
I use the Beach and Shore Backdrops Collage Sheet to cover the outside of the largest box.
I used the paper below to cover the inside of the large box.
I used the paper below to cover the inside and outside of the small box.

The outsides of the box are covered with images from the Beach and Shore Backdrops Collage Sheet.
For the handle, I used a bead cap on which to mount the ship wheel.

I used a variety of metal, plastic (see the detail supply list further down in the post), and clay shells to decorate the lid of the box.

Below is the mold I used for the clay shells.

I used images from the Over the Summer Sea, Seaside Victorian Children, and Shell Postcard collage sheets to decorate the inside of the large box.
I used the paper below to cover the lid and to make the boat.

I used images from the Over the Summer Sea and the Seaside Victorian Children collage sheets for the inside of the small box and also the children standing in the middle.
I used images from the Beach and Shore Backdrops Collage Sheet to make the circle in the middle.
To create the water, I used watercolor pencils to color a piece of paper which I glued inside the circle.  I painted it with Glossy Accents to make it look like water.
Next, I added some sand in a few spots.
The pail is made by painting a thimble, adding paper for a handle, and then seashells on the sides to make it look like they are holding the handle in place.
To make the boat, I watched the video below.
The children are double-sided and are attached to either the boat or the rock circle.

CREEPY CHILDREN ATCs

These ATCs are cards I submitted for a Halloween swap hosted by AlphaStamps.  The base for the card consists of an ATC-sized piece of chipboard and a decorative frame.  The card and frameset are available in three designs.  I used the Dragon Arch and the Wrought Iron designs.  The images of children can be found on the Little Imps and the Little Darlings Collage Sheets.  The original images are in black and white, so I colorized them to make them creepier.

VAMPIRE
The chipboard arch is stippled with various shades of grey, going from dark to light, to create the appearance of the stone.  The fence and tombstones are printed on decorative paper, and the tree is a rub-on transfer.
I added a tombstone with dripping blood (paint) and a creepy tree covered in black glitter.

I colored the boy's clothes, added the red circles and dots to his eyes, and the blood dripping from his mouth.  The final touch is dimensional felt bat stickers.

CREEPY DOLLS
In the background is paper with winter trees, the wrought iron frame is painted black, and the creepy tree is covered in black glitter.
I added a tombstone that says, "Beware of the Living Dead."   Behind the tombstone and the girl are creepy dolls to which I added red eyes.  The creep factor is enhanced by having the red eyes of the doll behind the tombstone peek through the tree branches. The doll images are from the Dolls in the Attic Collage Sheet.
I colored the girl's dress and face plus added cracks giving her the appearance of being a porcelain doll.

WEREWOLF
The frame on this card is sprayed with stone spray paint.
Embellishments include a tombstone, a moon, glittered bats, a dimensional bat sticker, a creepy tree, and a crow.
I colored his jacket red and added fur to his face.  On the wire leash is his pet rat.

VICTORIAN TOY SHOPPE TUTORIAL - NEW COLLAGE SHEETS - FREE SHEET & IMAGES

It’s Christmas time in Victorian England, and Mr. Brimble’s Toy Shoppe is filled with things to delight both young and old.  The village children wait in anticipation to see what new toys will fill the windows.  Check out the mini wood dimensional nutcrackers on the sandwich board.
You can see inside the store through the door, and it looks like Mr. Brimble has already put up the Christmas tree.
I used transparency film printed with a custom-sized windowpane to fit the bay windows.  You’ll find it to download at the bottom of this post.
Things are looking so cheerful at the shoppe.  Notice the lovely lighted lamps above the bay windows.   So many wonderful toys fill the windows.  Looks like Mr. Brimble is pulling out all the stops for this holiday season!
Per usual, I mixed collage sheet images with 3D objects to decorate the store.
There are also fun items like a puppet theatre and a dollhouse that opens.  And every shop needs a cat!
And there is Mr. Bimble at the wrapping table, ready to wrap your purchases in festive holiday paper.
