Welcome

I love answering your questions. If you ask them in the comment section, I have no way to answer you (if you haven't heard from me, that is why). If you use the "EMAIL ME" in the left column of this page, I will be able to respond to you. You can also use it if you want to be added to my newsletter. Laura

Le Mysterieux Carnival

Night has come, and the lanterns in the trees are lit, but you’ll need this silver ticket to enter.
Once inside you might notice there are some rather interesting characters already here.  Your first stop is the ticket booth to purchase tickets for the games and rides.  You’ll notice the time on the clock is midnight.  Here at the carnival, time stops at midnight...until you leave…that is, if you can leave…..
Mr. Bones has been working in the ticket booth for as long as anyone can remember.
There are lots of fun games to entice you.
You could try Skull Toss, Pin a Cross on a Vampire, Stump the Owl, Ride a Witches Broom, Stare Down a Gargoyle or Count the Ghosts in a Bottle.  There is something for everyone and prizes to be won.
It’s the kind of place where a tin pie and cake pan magically transforms into a Haunted Carousel (and yes it moves!).
But as with any ride, there are restrictions.
Seems Mr. Fox is not amused.
Stump an Owl
Your head needs to be serious bulging to attempt this game.  Froggy looks puffed up enough to attempted it.
Bag the Rats
Yes yes, everyone asks; you can keep and or eat the rats you bag.
Skull Toss
The important point with this game is to read the rules.  You must be:
  • Upside Down
  • Have Your Eyes Closed
  • Have One Hand or Claw Behind Your Back
  • Singing
Failure to observe these rules will disqualify you (Mr. Bones takes personal offense).  No exceptions!
If you get tired there is a nice bench on which to rest.
You can always sit and enjoy the spider parade.
For Those Curious About the Products I Used
Some of the stuff I used came from my stash that I have collected over time so who knows where it came from I certainly don’t remember.  But here is what I can tell you – see hyperlinks and notes below.
Ticket Booth
The umbrellas are for drinks and I think I found them at Pier One
Carousel
Metal Frames Set – Oval Frame
The ghosts at the top are Mrs Grossman stickers
Skull Toss
Poles holding the sign are wooden skewers
Stump an Owl
Frog – Bennett Aespo’s Fables #1 Collage Sheet
Bag the Rats
Rats, fence and trashcan – this was from a Jolees set.  I used all the cool stuff and was left with the rats, which is what gave me the idea.
Prizes
I colored the cauldron with Copper Gilders Paste
The heads are cupcakes decorations that I bought at Michaels craft store
Spider Parade
Oh I wish that you could still buy the spiders but the manufacturer is not making them anymore.
Miscellaneous
The border at the top of the background – Midnight Dreary: Dead on Arrival Scrapbook Paper

I hope you’ve enjoyed the carnival.  If you wish to continue on with the fun, click here to see the other participating blogs.

Le Mysterieux Carnival

Ahhh the carnival is coming to town.  I hope you’ll join me on Saturday to savor it’s delights and perhaps some of its oddities.  Here is your silver ticket.  See you then….
